Our Battle with Arsonists and Drug Producers in Nova Scotia
This is a letter from the Minister of Justice of Canada as a follow up from my correspondence to the office of Prime Minister Harper regarding the impunity we have experienced. In Sept. 2011 thugs associated with drugs and arms trade burnt down our heritage home in Allendale, Nova Scotia to provide themselves with a view of the ocean. Impunity is the biggest problem in Mexico and it was ironic that until last year my worst experience as a victim of crime would be a sleepy hamlet in Canada.
We have posted a reward to help motivate the local community of Allendale, who live in fear of the the criminals responsible for destroying our house, to come forward and provide the information the police need. Like victims of the Drug War in Mexico, there seems to be no legitimate authority to bring an end to the cycle of crime in Southwest Nova Scotia.
Here is another article regarding how one of the suspects with respect to the torching of our house slit his friend's throat at a party a couple years ago. How can people like this be allowed to roam the streets and threaten the security of our communities - impunity is the answer.
